Event Details

Join Vision+Media at Kino Short Film Festival 2010 for a knees up and a natter at the Green Room from 7.00pm onwards on Wednesday 28th April.

Some people love it, others are less keen, but the fact is we all have to network! There is no magic secret -all you need is a bit of friendliness and enthusiasm. How hard is that?

We'd like to encourage filmmakers of all shapes and sizes (and experience levels) to come down on the 28th - have a beer on us - make at least two new helpful contacts - and go home feeling a little bit more connected.

There are still far too many emerging producers, writers and directors out there that are working in isolation. Social networking may have helped close the gap, but there's no substitute for seeing the whites of somebody's eyes when you are talking shop.

Over half of the successful teams from this year's Green Shoots and Digital Shorts were formed through networking opportunities in the run up to the schemes themselves. It does work!

THIS EVENT TAKES PLACE AFTER Transitions:
'Planning your First Feature'
AS PART OF THE KINO FESTIVAL. REGISTRATION FOR THIS IS SEPARATE - http://transitions1atkinofilm.eventbrite.com/

PLACES FOR THE NETWORKING ARE LIMITED AND WILL BE ALLOCATED ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS. PRIORITY WILL, AS ALWAYS, BE GIVEN TO FILMMAKERS FROM THE NORTH WEST.

Vision+Media

Vision+Media exists to help grow the digital and creative industry in the North West of England. We do this by delivering projects and programmes that help creative companies and individuals (at all levels) in TV, Radio, PublishingMusicGames, Film and Digital and Creative services. We help productions find locations and staff in the region. And we also support creativity and culture e.g. film festivals and archives.
